On March 30 and 31, 2025, Paris hosted the SOS Ocean International Summit, bringing together political leaders, scientific experts, and committed figures to discuss the major challenges of ocean conservation. This event, organized ahead of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) scheduled for Nice in June 2025, featured the participation of French President Emmanuel Macron, former US Vice President Al Gore, and actor and environmental activist Harrison Ford.
DT Master Carbon was honored to be represented by its Director of Operations, Jingxiao He, who accompanied Chinese scientist Jinfeng Zhou, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). The presence of Mr. Zhou, an iconic figure in biodiversity conservation in China, strengthened international ties in the fight to preserve marine ecosystems.
In his closing speech, President Emmanuel Macron defined eight major objectives for UNOC-3:
Governance of the high seas
Sustainable fishing
Marine protection 30x30
Decarbonization of maritime transport
Reducing plastic pollution
Mobilization of financial resources
Adaptation to climate change
Support for scientific research on the ocean
These priorities underscore the need for coordinated and ambitious action to protect the oceans, which are essential in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss.
At DT Master Carbon, we believe the private sector plays a crucial role in achieving these goals . Our mission is to support businesses and institutions in developing sustainable and nature-friendly strategies, integrating innovative solutions for climate and biodiversity.
Ocean health is intrinsically linked to climate action and biodiversity preservation. By collaborating with international partners and actively participating in events such as the SOS Ocean Summit, DT Master Carbon reaffirms its commitment to being a key player in the transition to a more sustainable future.
